Championes Espana!!

⊆ Monday, June 30, 2008 by Deano | ˜ 0 splurges »

SPAIN!! We are the champions! We won the Euro 2008. Congratulations on Torres for the winning goal and end to Spain's painful 44 years defeat. Yeah! The best team in the tournament, it should be them. Germany was very poor in defense and literally in every department but it's relieving that Spain won! Yeah!!.

Now that is done, today's activity is just pretty much very lenient in my room. I was watching two movies. Much like a marathon of movies but I only watched two so here we go. The first movie I watched was the Forbidden Kingdom.

Ok, my view on this movie, now if you like kung fu movies, much like chinese movies then this is your cup of tea. I know I like it, it was fun to watch two martial arts masters go at it, Jackie Chan and Jet Li. It's fun and interesting to watch, I just can't quite figure out why but everytime they speak English, it amongst Chinese and Chinese people. How weird is that? First they talk in Chinese, next thing you know, the moment the kid a.k.a chosen seeker shows up, everyone starts to speak English. That's what I found it funny but the rest. Quite nice. I would give it a 4 out 5.

The second movie I watched is Bleach: Memories of Nobody.

Ok, I know it's an anime movie, but I was motivated after watching the Forbidden Kingdom. So yeah, this story revolves around a girl called "Senna" where she is the key for the Valley of the Screams. Don't want to reveal much of the movie anyway, since I know most of you readers out there are not into this sort of things. But yeah, it was a nice animated movie as well. I would give 4 out of 5 as well.

So yeah, that is basically what I did today. Pretty dull isn't it? Counting down:

Results - 2 days.
Parents coming down to London - 14 days.
Going back to Brunei - 19 days and counting.

Can't wait!!.

Casual, relaxing outing.

⊆ Sunday, June 29, 2008 by Deano | ˜ 0 splurges »

To start of, I might have been blogging because of boredom-ness and it is why. Oh well, it does make sense when there's nothing to do now since everyone has gone back home *sigh*. My updates won't be really interesting is it? Nonetheless, what I figured out today is that I am chatting with my "so-called sister". Why I say that because she's younger than me and she calls me "bro" all the time so yeah. Back to the topic here, what I have realised is that I have merely 3 weeks in London before going back to Brunei. Just remembered yesterday that today's the last day for the BH Kitchen to be open but yeah! I have exactly 1 week and 7 days before my parents come down to London (is that correct? sorry for my bad maths, I really do suck at it seriously), Okay, it's time for me to tell you what I have been doing yesterday my dear readers of this so-called "great blog of mine".

OK, wake up late in the afternoon as usual as not doing anything per se, so, I was thinking that maybe I should head down to Chinatown to buy some "perencah" for me to cook nasi goreng or mee goreng, whichever is preferable for me to cook for dinner. Notice that my lunch is only Kellogg's Frosties and milk and that's it. So I texted my cousin that I'll be coming over to their place, while on their way there I stopped by Maplin to refund for the Scart adapter that did not work, so I did get the refund from them, and I was thinking after that refund, should I sell my cable that does not work on my laptop from eBay? That should make some profit out of it would it? But anyway, after that, I went to my cousin's brother's home and stayed there for lunch. While there, of course, I would join and play with my little nieces (lurus kah tu, anak buah kan tu dalam bahasa orang putih kan?) and then me and my cousin went to Chinatown and we will meet them at Oxford street later on.

After we have done our little shopping, well, basically it's me who is doing the shopping, buying out some stuff for surviving the other 3 weeks. After that, we went into Esprit, ah, we were in Esprit for a long time, and guess what? It was on sale, damn, went to Men's section as usual, found these t-shirts which is nice, but most of them are L, XL, or 3XL. Damn, there's no size for me which M here. Oh well, search after search, I found the t-shirt with the right size and it was only 5 pounds. Cool yeah? Well, after that, we just walked from there all the way until Debenhams and met up with them. We went to Starbucks to relax and have a drink (thank you abang!) and then went to Debenhams, my cousin's wanted to buy something, maybe for work I guess, but nonetheless, we were babysitting out nieces because she was crying while at the shop. After that, we went to catch a bus and went to Woolworths before going back to the apartment to buy her toys ( I mean, my niece). Once we reached home, I helped my cousin to get the toys running and that having tea, after which I decided to head back to BH to have dinner on my own.

Ah, went back to BH, took a shower and after done with my prayers, I straight away started cooking. I was thinking what to cook, either rice or noodles. While I was boling water, I decided to go to Tesco to buy some rice and came back. Once I have the rice, I cooked it, this time properly, thanks to the advice of both Nana and Na43, and the second time, it was a success. So once the rice is done, I then started to heat up the cooking oil. Once it was hot, then I added the "perencah" (stupid me, why did I do that in the first place, plus, the thermal heat was on 5+) so, a lot of smoke came out, and before you know it, the fire alarm went off. I thought it was some other people's room so I did mind, but I have a gut feeling that it is me. When I saw the smoke alarm was turning red, that's when I realised that I was me and I just realised I cooked too much of the perencah and I did not open the window fully. OMG! When the warden came in and "Kuya" came in, I told them I was sorry, I did not know. Good thing it was OK. Nas was also there when this incident happened. After that ruckus was over, Nas came in to the room and we chatted for a while, he was going online. So I continued on cooking, but under low heat and eventually finished cooking it and then turned on the TV and watched some channels.

Yeah, I think that's it. After that I went to sleep, probably because of the food that's taking effect on me so quick.

A day in the room.

⊆ Saturday, June 28, 2008 by Deano | ˜ 0 splurges »

Good morning. Yesterday, I did not go out of my room (technically speaking) but I did, just went to Tesco's to buy some stuff so yeah. I did not know it was fun to stay in your room for the whole day. I can do a lot in my room per se. Here's what I did yesterday.

I tried to cook rice yesterday, unfortunately, after the first try, it was rice alright, but it was a little soaky so I added more water (stupid me) and made into "bubur" rather than rice. The reason why I was cooking rice was planning to cook Nasi Goreng once again, but since the rice is so sticky, I decided to use the rice and cook it, and it was not too bad even. Good thing it was delicious. Yeah, after that, I just watched TV, nothing special though, it was kinda fun, and I ate a lot of those rainbow dusts again, it really hurts sometimes if you eat them too much. But anyway, last night, figure this out, what I was watching:

Yup, I was watching the WWE Draft for this year, where all the three brands (gosh, I just watched this suddenly, did not know ECW was theirs already), Raw, SmackDown and ECW compete to whichever brands wins every match, wins the draft pick which is picked at random. So far, watching the show on YouTube was quite interesting though, a 3-hour special even. It was a good show. 3 of the champions (I forgot who exactly) are in Raw while 2 champions ( I think it's Edge and Triple H) is in Smackdown, and history is written as Jim Ross, the usually Monday Night Raw commentator was shockingly moved to Smackdown. It was a really interesting show if you asked me. I haven't watched wrestling in a very, very long time.

After watching that, I decided to watch a movie.

Yes, it's Jumper. It was a good movie. What so cool about this movie is that you can jump from continent to continent and not get caught. It's nice sci-fi, action movie if you ask me. How I just wish I can jump from London back to my home so that it would be easy, but *sigh*, it's reality. Oh well, it can't be helped. I rate this movie 4/5.

Alright, will update you guys for today's activities later.

Spain meets Germany in Finals! Hurrah!

⊆ Thursday, June 26, 2008 by Deano | ˜ 0 splurges »

Yes!! Spain! They are in the finals!. This should be an exciting match between the Germans and the Spaniards this Sunday. Go Spain!. Alright enough cheering, though, I do appraise for Russia's strong comeback after defeating Holland and other teams (which I mention). Andrei Arshavin was the main star for Russia but for some reason he was not up on his usually dangerous game, anyway, Spain went through! and for yesterday's match, I was really frustrated that the Germans won. I mean, by looking at the match yesterday on how Turkey played (plus the frustratation on BBC one keeps on displaying distorted images thanks to the thunderstorm in Vienna that night) added to the misery. Turkey should have won. They were playing so well than the Germans, as you can see from the way they performed, Turkey have outclassed Germany in every department really, but oh well, what's done it's done and Spain will thrash you guys yeah!

The above picture shows Ugul Boral celebrates the first goal for Turkey. The other pictures are from today's match which was superb. Brilliant football I may add.

Moving on to today's activities, Na43 is going back home to Brunei soon, dang, now left me alone. *sigh*. Oh well, I have something things to do in the room with all these mess on my head going on. Oh yeah, Today, Me, Na43 and Nas went to Bayswater to buy some stuff because I was going to cook Mee Goreng( not Indomee), so we did, though we set the time to 1.30pm and it lingers until 2.30. Typical us, making things late, but it was worth it. Na43 helped me along as well, so it was worth it.

Officially, I cooked that fried noodle for the very first time and success. Yes, the above pictures are what have been doing after we came back from Bayswater. We are technically really bored so I took these pictures just to make this really interesting. After these, we did like normal, going online, do nothing and wander around the room until the match Russia Vs Spain starts. During the game, this is what we have done:

This picture what I posted up here is the number of straw dusts I have eaten whilst I was watching the match. Really intense I should say but yet again, I really didn't really realize how much I was eating during that time then, as for the rest of them, this is what they did while I was watching:

They were sleeping or partially sleeping, or both, I don't know. So this is what I did:

Of course, watching the match. Then moved to bed when I looked at those two sleeping. Haha. Oh well, that is all for the update, keep reading fellas. There's more soon, for the process of what you call "memalui" and "menalur" in BH.

Another blog, another day.

⊆ Wednesday, June 25, 2008 by Deano | ˜ 0 splurges »

Yes, people once again, I have come to a conclusion that I am officially jobless. Yes, as in while waiting for my results and not doing anything, and plus, potentially & officially broke, I will be spending more of my time in BH longer than ever. Well, to start off things I would describe what I have been doing yesterday.

The morning, my cousin came and we just hung out in my room. Though, both of us are officially jobless and we are not doing anything, I was really good at not spending, since now I know how to cook Nasi Goreng (skadar, masak nasi belum pandai, :p). Oh well, that is one achievement I gained for my lifetime support. On the other hand, take a gander on this game:

Well, if you guess the game then it's correct, (whatever your thinking is). Eventually, me and my friend finished this game around 12 am today. Haha, it was a really fun game to play. Well, with that it's over, I can finally rest but I don't have anymore games to play :(. Oh well, not bad for me who has played this game, solo first, then mostly split screen.

Today's activity so far is:

Went out with Na43. Whilst waiting for her to message, I ate some cereals(frosties to be exact) and making Milo. God, how I missed drinking Milo, it's been a while now. Moving on, she texted me around 11.30-ish and then changed clothes and went to meet her at Debenhams. Once reaching there and short split second of meeting up with her right in front of the Debenhams entrance, we straight away went to Chinatown (she just bought her new phone, the samsung u600 even). Really nice phone though, not my liking. Anyways, once we reached chinatown, we went to HSBC and she withdraw her money from the bank, while I was looking at my bank balance thinking *um, kapih, kapih..* Oh well, that's life for short for me. After that, we went into the Chinese shop for them to unlock it. Once that is done we then scrouge around Oxford street, going from Apple, Burberry, Fossil, John Lewis. Oh, speaking of John Lewis, I just surveyed a camera that I wish to obtain if I pass my degree (AMIN!!).

Yup, if you have guessed it right, it's the 6.1MP SLR camera Nikon D40. Though, I am only aiming for professional type quality of camera for me to use if I 'm bored or some special functions, particularly, for my cousin's wedding which is really, really soon, I would like to have this. Maybe I should make a wishlist table for my blog as well? ;). But nonetheless, I just found out in John Lewis that the price for this camera is 299 pounds. Not bad though, but, maybe I would like to obtain this in Singapore, since it's way,way cheaper there. *sigh*, oh well, I should wait.

Speaking of which, I just did the song that I wanted to sing on the last post indicated. Luckily, while I m doing this post, It finished uploading it on YouTube so, here it is:

THEORY OF A DEADMAN - SANTA MONICA (COVER).

I hope that this video is alright, though I did a few mistakes here and there, but it should be alright (I hope). Alright guys, I think I shall scoot for now, will update with another entry by tonight.

Something to view on this blog.

oh well, that's all for now. Cheers.

SPAIN!!.. usual rants about life.

⊆ Tuesday, June 24, 2008 by Deano | ˜ 0 splurges »

SPAIN!! Yes, they qualified for the semi-finals. Watch out Russia! Here comes the mighty Spain. Hopefully they won't screw up the semi's. One bad thing about this is David Villa would be missed since this next round he won't be playing due to the yellow card he obtained during the match yesterday against Italy. Damn man, Italy was playing like, I don't know how to say it.. crap I suppose? But oh well, who cares since your team already wins and it was a 0 - 0 draw even. Cesc! You are the hero of Spain for qualifying them in the semi's. Congrats to the Arsenal Midfielder.

Yes! now that is over and done with, we will see who will reach the finals first this wednesday, it's either Turkey or Germany. Fingers crossed, as I would like to see Turkey win this match. It would be so awesome as it would be history for them to reach the finals. On the other hand, Today, nothing much interesting, just brought my friend to RBA at Cromwell Road. As usual, I told him that we would get lost easily since I'm not really familiar yet with the location and while in the midst of waiting the bus on the way back, I found out another bus that leads straight to RBA, what a lucky break for me.

My room is now empty once again and I will be alone after that. Na43 is still here though but she will be back in a few days time, and I will be alone again *sigh*, but what is making me nervous, anxious, scared is about my results. Yesterday night I was chatting with my friend when he indicated in the chatbox about the results out on 1st of July. Dang, that makes me shake. I hope everything is okay and I can proceed with my graduation with no problems AMIN!!.

Thinking what to do for the next 2 weeks until my parents come down from Brunei to London. Yeah!. I was thinking of trying to put my videos on youtube (though I have upped like 6 vid's there), but what I was thinking is trying to sing Santa Monica by Theory of a Deadman. It would be my first attempt to sing an English song. Oh well, but it shall be alright (classical english yeah?).

Hm, let my mind flow for a while..

Aha, Blues Clues. See what Steve is thinking? (Do make up some suggestions in your head).

Something to fill in the void.

Again, sorry for the titles, but today, I'm just gonna share with you two videos.

The above video shows Cristiano Ronaldo turning the ball round and round. Man, how did the ball stick to his feet like that? I wish I could do it though I'm not in a position to play that kind of football yet. I still suck though, seriously.

This 2nd video is what I have posted on my YouTube account. A new song I just sang out of boringness. Sorry for the video quality as my phone is not that high technological, though it says 3.1MP camera, but what the heck? It's just a phone, it is not meant to be a very professional video camera.

Alright guys, will update later.

A blog with no particular name.

⊆ Sunday, June 22, 2008 by Deano | ˜ 0 splurges »

Yeah, maybe you are thinking why am I putting the title just like that, because.. I am technically bored. I slept at 15 mins before 6 in the morning after sending off my friend and his sisters going home to Brunei. Man, how I miss Brunei. But oh, well, I would wait until 12th of July when my parents come down from home to London, yeah!.

One thing that really worries me, my results. I know my results will come out on the 1st week of July, that would be around 2 weeks plus time. Man, I'm so nervous.

Anyway, here's what I did for the day, though, I'm not supposed to do this blog today, but I eventually did.

Ok, maybe by the look at that picture you already get a clear picture about what am I gonna talk about. Yes, it's Zara. Today, I went to Bayswater, which is totally unplanned, probably because I was still frustrated because of yesterday. So, I went to Whiteleys, and went to Zara to look at the clothes I'm planning to buy (though, it happened the other way), I saw this short sleeved shirt which is really nice, really plain and simple and it's technically black, I just like it because of the nice tone of black which really suits for casual wear. So, I tried it on and found it was really good. So, I was thinking "Should I buy it or not?", then, without hesitation, I finally bought it. It was a sale though so it was really worth buying it and I bought some organic apple juice from Food Inc.

And then, after that, I went back to BH and still stuck bored. I had my last straw and I decided to go to sleep, when Na43 came to the room and of course, she's like my new roommate of course, so it's common. Tried on some things with the Xbox 360 but to no avail. So, it's back to the drawing board. After dinner, I just relaxed.

Then, the night, my friend came into the room and I helped him weigh his bag for him because today, he's going back to Brunei as well. Man, you guys are having fun there. Oh well, I would wait. Good news is one of my friends are coming down to London anytime soon (Em, let's make that date happen? haha).

Alright guys, I think I'm gonna relax now. See you guys next time. Will update this blog anytime soon.

The planned, but yet, frustrating outing.

⊆ Saturday, June 21, 2008 by Deano | ˜ 3 splurges »

Maybe the title must be misleading but don't get me wrong, I am frustrated not because of any major problems though. It was just a hard-time decision do-over between Jack Wills and Hackett. Ok, so today, the planned day to go Bicester Village. It was my first time there so I expect myself to be surprised to see it and I did. Seeing everything is so british country-side like where all the shops are mostly in separate "houses", it sure feels nice to see the surrounding areas of Bicester village. Though, when looking at the things, eg Hackett, Jack Wills, Dior, Ralph Lauren etc, those are the high street brands names which, in an instant gesture, you say ,"OMG! That's really expensive, I could buy (whatever you want to say) with that". But truly speaking, when you say an designer outlet, it means that all the prices on these type of brands are cut down by 50% or so, maybe 75%. In terms, grabbing a good bargain for a very branded good is quite nice here, if you don't like to shop at retail prices, like me. :). Some of the things I took pictures of here are mainly a taste of what Bicester village is:
Hm, whilst heading towards this big Ralph Lauren shop, we stumbled upon a grizzly bear, so we all started taking pictures with the bear. Don't mind the picture your about to see. It's just for fun. :)

Now, back to the main storyline. All the shops that we went through there are mostly for women, as you can see by the brand Dior and sorts, not much of a guys taste really. I explored all the shops and targeted two particular polo t-shirts, one on Jack Wills and one by Hackett. What made me frustrated was that I already liked that polo t at Jack Wills but sadly there's no size for me. So, I just the polo from Hackett, pretty cool if you ask me, it has this Portugal colour vibe thingy going on. Though, when I bought the polo from Hackett, I was still frustrated but thankfully for my friend, she told me that this brand was of good quality so yeah, I believe her.

So after that shopping and walking around, we decided to relax at a spot.

Now here's my friend, Na43. All of these stuffs are hers except for the right hand side of the Hackett bag, that is mine. She feels really happy about it yeah? (Jangan marah ah.. haha, aku taruh mua mu di sini untuk menghidupkan alam sekitar dan segala batu - batuan sekaligus), but truly, I only bought one item here.

When we arrived in London, I was freaking tired seriously. After a nice, heavy meal, I started to feel asleep, but I forced myself to wake up and do this blog and thinking to play Rainbow Six : Vegas 2. I liked that game. Seriously.

Oh well, to finish this blog of, I'm gonna show you a picture, anyone of you who has been to bicester may know this picture, it's kinda cool.

*hint : a place to eat, coffee extragavant and nice Java chip frappucino.

Germans soar, Portugese flop and other stories.

⊆ Friday, June 20, 2008 by Deano | ˜ 0 splurges »

What a disappointing night. The Portugese are knocked out. How disappointing. Oh well, that is over and done with, we will just have to wait and see who the Germans are up against in the semi-finals. It was rather disappointing yet again, partly, because besides Spain, I support Portugal so yeah. Portugal lose 2 - 3 to Germany so yeah, next time. Spain will definitely rule, definitely. (I'm just saying it because I'm still frustrated :D).

OK, moving on. Ah, I did manage to change my XBox 360 game, trading in Devil May Cry 4 with Rainbow Six: Las Vegas 2. My cousin said it is a good game, though, I'm paticularly sure that this type of game is interesting on the XBox 360. So yeah. Hm, moving on. I went out with her the whole day though. We went from Game, then stop over for some food at Pizza Hut Express (thanks for showing me that place Zymo, awu mun inda kelaparan ku tu..). Well, we basically went to 2 Uniqlo's and Bershka and Topman (again, like 2 times in a week, :) ). Here are some screenshots I took while I was waiting for my cousin to pick and choose, ehem, shopping:

Try to figure that out, from where these pictures are from, you should recognise it, if you are familiar with Oxford Street's shops. It's very common these two. I might regret that not buying that nice shirt from Bershka, but that's OK, tomorrow I can still shop for one stuff in Bicester Village. Yes, probably Hackett? I don't know yet, can't still make up my mind yet. WTH?!! Hm, I think I'm running out of ideas now, seeing that I have described what I had done today it was a good day out.

Signing out, Deano.

Decided to upped this album on this blog. Introducing Still Remains. Well, as I was browsing through right after I did the previous blog, I switched to this band to listen to their songs. Now I have heard 3 or 4 songs and I have to say, for a metal band, they do quite good. I like these guys, maybe some of you are not much in favour of metal music, but maybe for some of you metal fans, it's worth to listen to these guys, though I won't buy their CD because I only like 3 songs from them. Here's the tracklist for their album:

1. Serpent
2. Wax Walls Of An Empty Room
3. Stay Captive
4. Anemia In Your Sheets
5. Maria
6. Dropped From The Cherry Tree

Ok, moving on, I'm listening to them right now. My favourite tracks from this album is Addicted, 18 days and Drowning(Face Down). These tracks are my personal favourites but overall I like the album a lot.

Oh well then, I will do more post entries today soon. I just woke up and I need more inspiration to do something on this blog so yeah, cheers.

More general thoughts.

Wokey, let's start this thing. Hm, let's see, currently, I have been doing nothing but eat, playing games, doing nonsense and of course, reckless thinking of non-educational stuff, you get the drill, it's just too boring right now. Let's see.. Most of my friends has gone back home and I will be the only one left ashtray, but I'm not in despair just yet, since some of my relatives are still here and I will be doing something for sure.

Okay, my plan to go to bicester village this friday, check. Oh yeah, a random thought. Remember that black guy (sorry for the racist comment, but yeah), he goes by the name Terry Crews. I just got a flash back from my mind about a video about him on the TV series, My Wife and Kids, if you can recall, he did this exercise with this other guy where he counts after lifting 60kg of weights in each hand as one. Here's the video.

Oh such funny things I have remembered, so many things in my head, though the TV is rolling behind me, a movie showing on channel FiveUS, White Chicks. I still have so many things hanging on my head such as my results, offer letters from other universities *sigh*.

Oh well, that should be it for now. It's 12:46am and it's now time to fix myself some of the things I want to do for tomorrow.

Checklist:

- Trade in Devil May Cry (Xbox 360) for some other games at Game and Cex.
